    DAY 01

    Calgary – Banff

    Fly from London to Calgary where, on arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Banff, Fairmont Banff Springs. Take the rest of the evening at leisure and settle into this regal mountain retreat.

      DAY 02


      Begin your Canadian adventure with a guided tour of Banff, a wonderfully scenic mountain town at the foot of the Rockies. You’ll be whisked off to the most outstanding highlights today, from Bow Falls to Tunnel Mountain Drive, Hoodoo’s to Surprise Corner, culminating with a gondola ride up to the peak of Sulphur Mountain where you’ll be rewarded with stunning 360-degree views.

        DAY 03

        Rocky Mountaineer Train – Kamloops

        Early this morning a private transfer will take you to Banff Rail Station, ahead of your journey to Kamloops aboard the famous Rocky Mountaineer. Let the train take any strain as you zip through the breathtaking scenery of Alberta and British Columbia, looking out through large glass windows at the mountains, rivers, lakes and glaciers beyond. Travelling in Goldleaf class, you’ll be treated to a hot breakfast and lunch on board, before the train pulls into Kamloops where you’ll check into a local hotel.

          DAY 04

          Rocky Mountaineer Train – Vancouver

          Hop aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for the final time and last leg of your journey to Vancouver. Once again, the seriously stunning Canadian landscapes will accompany you along the way, from the Rainbow Canyon, with its kaleidoscopic rock walls; to Hell’s Gate, a narrow gorge where the Fraser River gushes through with dramatic force. Finally, the bucolic pastures of Fraser Valley. Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer to the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel at Coal Harbour.

            DAY 05

            Vancouver – Sonora Island

            Today a seaplane or helicopter ride will carry you from Vancouver Airport to Sonora Island, less than an hour northwest of the city, where you will spend the next few days unwinding on the magical shores of Desolation Sound. Check into Sonora Resort, a five-star eco-lodge on the waterfront that invites you to fully relax amidst nature, with all delicious meals (plus drinks) and fun activities included throughout your stay here.

              DAY 06

              Senora Island

              There are so many excursions available at Sonora Resort, from kayaking to river rafting and much more besides. Today then, why not opt for a hike on one of the Discovery Islands, to get your bearings in this all-natural wonderland? After a Zodiac boat ride – during which you might witness resident wildlife like porpoises and seals – walk through an ancient, towering cedar rainforest, a magnificent place to behold indeed

                DAY 07

                Senora Island

                Another day to revel in the delights of Desolation Sound, perhaps opting for a grizzly bear tour, fishing, golf, stand-up paddle boarding, archery or a nature safari. You might also like to pamper yourself in the spa, play tennis, go for a dip in the heated pool or enjoy games at the lodge, soaking up Sonora Island’s pristine scenery all the while.

                  DAY 08

                  Campbell River – Tofino

                  Bid farewell to Sonora Resort and make the journey by water taxi to Campbell River on Vancouver Island, where you will be collected by SUV and transferred to Tofino. Your home for the next few days is the Wickaninnish Inn, sprawled on the rocks above the Pacific Ocean; a dramatic setting flanked by an old-growth forest and beach.

                    DAY 09


                    Today’s tour gets you up close to the black bears of Pacific Rim National Park, a quintessential Canadian experience! Aboard sturdy Zodiac boats, your guide will navigate the waters of Clayoquot Sound, spying these mighty creatures from the water and watching as they hunt for elusive fish.

                      DAY 10


                      More animal safaris to come, as you embark on a thrilling whale-watching tour. Heading back to the Clayoquot Sound, your guide will identify the best spots for catching sight of grey and humpback whales, as well as sea lions, shore birds and bald eagles, for the chance to see the iconic marine life of Vancouver Island up close.

                        Tofino – Vancouver

                        Transfer to Tofino Airport for a flight to Vancouver, where you will be collected and taken to your city hotel, Fairmont Pacific Rim. Spend the rest of the day at leisure – you could relax in the resort spa, go for a swim in the rooftop pool, or head out for a stroll along Coal Harbour, right on your doorstep.
                          DAY 12


                          Get under the skin of Vancouver on a guided tour, exploring the top highlights of this ever-attractive Canadian city. Discover Vancouver’s cosmopolitan side by visiting its diverse districts, from Downtown to Chinatown, Gastown to Yaletown, and witness the significant Totem Poles of Stanley Park. Dip into the market at Granville Island, pass English Bay Beach and enjoy panoramic views from The Lookout too.

                            DAY 13

                            North Shore Mountains – Vancouver

                            Having acquainted yourself with the city, today you can venture further afield to the North Shore Mountains. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is an astonishing feat of engineering that towers 70m above the Capilano River; walk along its 140m-long path through the treetops, before continuing to a salmon hatchery and the Skyride to Grouse Mountain, for spectacular views and the opportunity to visit their important wildlife refuge.

                              Transfer from your hotel to Vancouver Airport ahead of your flight back to London, and home.
