Sani Asterias Suites
Effortlessly cool, ideally placed and highly exclusive, Sani Asterias offers a prime Halkidiki location and natural style to match, all set within the private, award-winning Sani Eco-resort. This is every bit the five-star boutique Greek hotel, what with its elegantly designed suites, Michelin-star chefs and heavenly spa. However, Sani Asterias also forms part of the wider Sani Reserve, a luxurious 1,000-acre sprawl of beaches and bird sanctuaries, home to 22 bars and restaurants, a private marina, multiple design hotels and countless activities too. You’ll have access to them all during your stay, and whether seeking a five-star family-friendly holiday in Greece, or a romantic retreat to Halkidiki for two; few hotels can match what’s on offer here.
At Sani Asterias itself there are two fine dining restaurants and an atmospheric bar playing live piano music each evening, as well as a spectacular swimming pool, instant access to Sani Beach and Marina, plus that signature spa featuring Thai and Indian massage therapies, sea salt scrubs and steam baths, wraps and facials. Though when the time comes, around the wider resort grounds and off the coast, a world of holiday entertainment awaits, either as a family or while little ones are being kept busy at the fantastic kids’ club. Begin your day with a yoga or Pilates class, tennis or session in the gym before trying your hand at an expert archery course, some scuba diving, watersports or wake boarding. You could rent a bike and head off for a picnic, learn how to paddle-board, perhaps go bird watching around the surrounding reserve, enjoy a forest hike or wildlife walk with an expert guide. Then, for something even more memorable, why not take a private yacht tour, sailing trip or sunset cruise? All of this, and more, is to be savoured day after day at Sani.
Yet, with such endless attractions, services and facilities onsite, Sani Asterias does not lose an ounce of its style or grace, and is as desirable as any luxury Mediterranean resort. So, throughout the long list of suite and bungalow options, every outdoor or communal space, lounge or restaurant, expect impeccably presented interior design of beach-chic meeting mildly minimalist architecture. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill those suites with light and many look out across the ocean, some enjoying private gardens and others a pool to complement the catalogue of mod-cons and amenities which come as standard. Elsewhere, your daybed will be wicker or lightwood and adorned with deluxe cream throw cushions, while the pathways which connect it all are perfectly manicured and often lined with blossoming foliage, so even walking from beach to spa, or pool to bar, is a joy.
What’s more, of the many reasons to stay at Sani Asterias, it is the reassuring knowledge that this particular beach resort is sustainably run and eco-friendly wherever possible, with various ecological initiatives operating in the reserve and beyond. From community engagement to tree planting and preserving natural habitats for local bird species, Sani Asterias is an ethically run luxury resort in Greece that is as good as it looks, as you’ll find out while relishing the Michelin-standard food, exclusive Beach Club or spacious suites the resort is known for.
